If you grew up in the Philippines, opportunities are you matured with your granny or aunties (in your area called as Titas) informing you that your skirt is too brief, your reds are too red, your blouse is too see-through, or you went house too late (or early given that you did be available in at 2AM). There would likewise be times that they have called you out for laughing too loud or have asked you “Who was that guy on that photo in Facebook? Why was his arm around you? Is he your sweetheart? Malagkit ang tingin niya sayo (He takes a look at you differently).” or something to that level. Just recently, I did something any decent Dalagang Girls Filipino would never ever do (perhaps given that the Dalaga had no iPhone prior to): online dating filipino girls I downloaded Tinder and swiped right numerous times. To my surprise, I got numerous swipe rights back and my phone pinged almost 7 times a day informing me that I have a new message from some complete stranger that swiped right on me. However, this ladies Filipino did not stop at merely talking them. I went out with one of them. Imagine the number of slippers that could be flying round the Dalaga’s house should the household learn about this. I told a buddy of mine that I went on a Tinder date in Canada. She was informing me to delete the app and as any good friend, cautioned me about the hazards of Tinder that I currently understood about. Much more remarkably, she pointed out that she never thought that I would download Tinder and not to mention go on a Tinder date. “Due To The Fact That Dalagang Pilipina,” she responds. She was right, the Dalaga would never ever do this.

She will sit on their ancestral home’s veranda and await for Pedro/Juan/Pepito/ whoever to serenade her. Poor Pedro/Pepito/Juan will need to pass through an audition just to be able to bring out our Dalagang Girls Filipino, think something like American Idol, The Voice, Britain’s Got Talent and so on. Judges will be grandma, auntie, auntie’s hubby, Dalagang Pilipina’s brother & & parents, grandma’s buddy, and in some cases their neighbor. That is the girl our grandparents, moms and dads, aunties, uncles, next-door neighbors expect us to be. Anything that does not suit that cookie-cutter mold, may it be less or more, was something … Why? Because it was something various. If it was something great or bad was a different story. The Dalagang Girls Online Dating Filipino Girls is a concept. She doesn’t go on Tinder dates. For the longest time, teenage women Filipino girls (in the Philippines) were expected to fit into this description or at least, be demure, composed, lady-like, etc. Are there ladies Filipino who are still like this? Yes. Exist Filipinas who go on Tinder dates? Juan-or-Pedro/damsel-in-distress and I do not believe there’s anything incorrect with that. It does not always mean that we are trying to find a relationship or desire someone to sleep with. Though often, and I will not lie, it does. I think I am just no Dalagang Girls Filipino any longer. And I do not think all ladies Filipino are any longer. Is that a bad thing? I do not believe so. It merely indicates we understand what we want and we go for it. I want to reconsider the statement I have mentioned previously, that the Dalagang Girls Filipino would never do somethingsuch as install Tinder on her phone. The Dalagang Girls Filipino would download it, swipe a couple of times, message him some dangerous notes and she would not get caught.

Just recently, I did something any good Dalagang Girls Filipino would never do (perhaps given that the Dalaga had no iPhone before): I downloaded Tinder and swiped best a number of times. I informed a buddy of mine that I went on a Tinder date in Canada. Even more remarkably, she discussed that she never ever believed that I would download Tinder and let alone go on a Tinder date. She does not go on Tinder dates. Are there Filipinas who go on Tinder dates?
