Ange Postecoglou is open to joining after falling short of publicly ruling himself out of the running to become the club’s new head coach.

The boss is among the leading contenders to replace current Spurs interim boss Ryan Mason ahead of next season, but still has one more match of the season to play against Inverness in Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final – a game that could see his team secure a domestic Treble.

While the opening weeks of Tottenham’s search for ‘s long-term successor focused on and Arne Slot, the Parkhead boss has been a fixture on Spurs’ list of potential candidates.

But with interest in Naglesmann and Slot stalling, Postecoglou’s chances of getting the Spurs job have improved.

Sources are indicating Postecoglou would be open to a formal approach from Tottenham, who have also considered Luis Enrique, while Fulham head coach Marco Silva – who Mail Sport revealed last month has a £6million release clause in his contract – is also said to be still in the running.

Spurs chiefs are also aware of former River Plate boss Marcelo Gallardo’s availability.

Any formal dialogue between Spurs and Celtic for Postecoglou, who is signed to a one year rolling contract, will take place after Saturday’s showpiece.

Speaking ahead of the clash against Inverness, boss Postcoglou did little to quell talk of a move to Spurs.

When asked about interest from Tottenham, the 57-year-old said: ‘Somebody else was favourite last week, wasn’t he?So, it doesn’t register.

‘I get all the interest and why people love to speculate on these things.

‘But we have worked really, really hard to get ourselves into this position and, daftar KAPITAL77 for me to let my mind wander about anything else than getting our team prepared for a big day on Saturday, is just not who I am.’
